The Main Motors Chevrolet Cadillac dealership has had a presence in Anoka, MN since 1919. It was founded by LeRoy Carlson and has been in the Carlson family since then. Lee and Karen currently operate Main Motors and we couldn’t find anyone more loving and caring to buy our next GM vehicle from. GM was built on the backs of rural America. We wish to continue buying Chevrolet's and Cadillac’s from our local dealer and not travel long distances for our sales and service. 
           We fail to understand the economics of eliminating a dealership that has always returned a profit to GM. As of June 4^th Main Motors is 13 deals ahead of this month last year. We recognize that you are making tough decisions and that they are largely based upon economics, but what you need to understand is that the car market began to change prior to Lee Carlson's receipt of your letter.
          Main Motors Chevrolet Cadillac is a high-performing dealership. They are usually in the top 15 dealers in Minnesota for sales and those numbers continue to grow! In the last 12 months its customer satisfaction scores for Sales were above the Zone, Region and Division scores. In comparison with 2008, 2009 Total Sales are down on 14% compared to the industry average of 40%. They are at 103% of their objective you set for them! The dealership is profitable and efficient and continues to get better.
